Troubleshooting Adobe Flash Player
The first thing you should do, and the easiest resolution to the problem, is to check your computer's configurations. You may have blocked Adobe Flash Player by inadvertently installing or enabling a pop-up.
If your Adobe Flash Player is slow or crashing then the problem might be related to memory. Close all other tabs or windows in your Internet browser.
You should also check to see whether the Adobe Flash Player works on different websites. If it does, then the issue might be with a particular web page.
Security:
Your computer's security settings might be too effective and may be configured to prevent Adobe Flash Player from running. Check your security settings and ensure that they are set to medium. This should enable the default, which allows Adobe Flash Player to run. When you adjust your security configurations by yourself, make sure that "plug-ins," "run ActiveX controls" and "download signed ActiveX controls" are set to "prompt."
Windows Vista:
If you have Windows Vista with Adobe Flash Player installed but it still isn't working (you can't see anything or are receiving error messages) you may need to upgrade to the newest version of Adobe Flash Player. Go to C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash\FlashUtil9d.exe. Right click and select "Run as Administrator." After that, just follow the instructions.
Reinstalling Adobe Flash Player:
In most cases, problems with the Adobe Flash Player can be resolved by completely uninstalling the program and then reinstalling the latest version of it. To completely uninstall the program you will have to use the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller, which you can download from the Adobe website. Once you have downloaded and saved the program, close any open applications and launch the uninstaller. After you have completely removed the Flash Player from your system you can retrieve the latest version from the Adobe website and install it on your computer.
If you run into problems when configuring the ActiveX control, get the Adobe Flash Player ActiveX zip file from the Adobe website. Install and run it on your computer.
Permissions:
Finally, if none of the above seems to resolve the issue, you might have a problem with permissions. This issue can be addressed by visiting the Microsoft website and downloading "SubLnACL".
