Learn How to Address Runtime Errors in AOL

If you are experiencing runtime errors when using America Online (AOL), it can be very frustrating. Luckily there is an easy way to fix these errors, as long as you know what you're doing.

First and foremost, download a Windows cleaning and PC optimization tool to sweep your Windows Database. This database contains a wealth of information and is crucial to the operation of your PC. Over time it can be corrupted, unstable and include a number of empty or invalid entries. After you download it, make sure to update the tool.

Another important step is cleansing your Internet cache and removing your cookies. To do so, just follow these instructions:

  1. Open up a web browser.
  2. Select "Tools" and then "Options."
  3. Select "Privacy."
  4. Press "Clear Now."
  5. A window will open. Confirm the items that you would like to clean.
  6. Decide which files you want to delete and then select them.
  7. Press "Clear" and then hit "Ok."

You can also remove unnecessary items and put them in the recycle bin. The easiest way is to select the Start menu and then choose "Run." A text box will appear. Type "cleanmgr" into the text box. Press "Ok." Your system will look for unnecessary items. When prompted, select the following items: "Recycle Bin," "Temporary Internet Files" and "Temporary Files." Hit "OK" and then these items will be removed.
