Learn How to Update Internet Explorer



Recently, there has been a launch of Internet Explorer-owned updates for a lot of web-based standards. These include DOM, CSS and HTML. In response, a variety of websites were created that appear to conform to standard Internet websites. It has also revealed the need for a "Quirks Mode" to allow the certain incorrect factors to be made suitable for alternative Internet programs.

Internet Explorer also owns JavaScript Updates that are transferable to other Internet programs. Basically, this allows the HTML to come back without having to collect the information from the HTTP. This is called an "innerHTML" function.

The "contentDocument" includes a "designMode". This offers the ability to make HTML adjustments in "rich text" mode. A few of Microsoft's features are only recently available.

Of course, you can access tabbed browsing in older models just by installing a different toolbar, such as MSN or Yahoo.

If you are working in older versions of Internet Explorer you are missing out on these new features and functions. If you don't spend too much time on the computer then you might not have to worry. But if the Internet is an important part of your everyday life, you will want to update your version of Internet Explorer.

To update Internet Explorer, follow these directions:

  1. Open up an IE browser.
  2. Select "Tools" and then open "Windows Update."
  3. Select "Custom."
  4. Make sure there is a check mark beside "Internet Explorer."
  5. Next, select "Review" and "Install Updates."
  6. Now you can close the browser.

In order to install the original or more up-to-date version of IE, follow these directions:

  1. Open up an IE browser.
  2. Go to www.microsoft.com.
  3. Locate "Internet Explorer" on the Microsoft website.
  4. Press "Download."
  5. Open the file and proceed with installation.
